Intro to Mat

Intro to Mat is a great starting point for beginners or those who need a refresher. Learn the Five Basic Principles of STOTT Pilates, building a foundation of exercises to move onto the next level. This mat-based workout is designed to help students develop longer, leaner muscles, establish core strength & stability, and heighten mind-body awareness. Students are welcome to stay in the Intro to Mat class until feeling confident enough to enter the next level. This series is a pre-requisite for all other Pilates’ classes at BODY reFORM.

After completing the Intro to Mat series, this is the next step to better your understanding of Pilates Mat exercises. This class will take you beyond the principles as you begin to explore the balance and strength within your core.

For more challenge, Levels 2 & 3 will take you through dynamic, full-body workouts that focus on improving flexibility and core strength, with exercises that stretch and tone a number of muscle groups.

Pilates Barre

This class takes the Pilates principles to standing, in a fun, energetic workout at the ballet barre, plus a bit of rhythm. It’s not ballet or dance, but is inspired by their dynamic barre exercises.
*No previous Pilates or dance experience needed. Pre-Registration Required.
Drop-in: Current students $12. New students $15. 

Fit to the Core

April 12 – June 28
Thursday 6:00-6:55pm

This class is designed to offer a challenge to multiple aspects of your fitness. Presented in an interval format, you will be performing cardio, strength, balance and core movements. Experience with mat Pilates training is preferred, however not required. Modifications will be offered to be inclusive of a range of fitness levels.  Drop-In Rate – Current Students $12
New Students $15.

 

MELT with Linda

April 13, 20 and 27, 2018   Fridays   5:30 – 7:15pm    

$80 for Three Classes or $30 per class. Pre-Registration is required. A $5 one-time materials fee is paid to Linda at the first class.
Three classes to choose from ….These MELT basics classes are designed to enable you to MELT at home.  Each class focuses on a specific area of the body using the nine basic MELT moves with a soft ball and soft foam roller.  MELTing on your own is a unique and powerful way to help yourself be more comfortable in your body.  To receive a full refund, 48-hour cancellation is required.

April 13 – Completed  

April 20 – Experience a full body release as you learn to hydrate your fascia by MELTing your upper back, neck and shoulders to release tension and facilitate fuller breath. Then complement it with MELT hydration moves for the lower body; hips, low back and legs.

April 27  – Using MELT moves, learn to strengthen your core as you relieve hip, low back, neck and shoulder tension.

*Includes soft ball and reference materials for new MELTers

NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, BUT MUST BE ABLE TO GET ON AND OFF THE FLOOR FOR ROLLER MOVES.
